I know this was posted over a year ago, but I just had to say this picture made me tear up! I am so inspired by breastfeeding mommies and I am also absolutely in love with all things Disney World…I hope I can one day have this experience when/if I have little ones of my own! Absolutely precious!

[…] Bits of Myself – Right Down the Middle of Main Street: This mom has battled through several rounds of chemo while fighting cancer. Each time she had to wean her daughter. Rather than giving up on breastfeeding, she kept pumping while going through treatment so that her daughter could keep nursing when she was done. This beautiful pic shows her nursing her daughter, who is all dressed up as Minnie Mouse, on Main Street at Disney World. […]

I am so moved by this you have no idea — but perhaps more, I am cautiously hopeful. You see, I am the nursing mother of a 2.5 yo and have just been diagnosed w/ER+ invasive breast cancer…it’s only been a week that I’ve known. I have no official treatment plan yet, but am sure chemo is in my future, as well as a mastectomy because I have multiple lumps. I’ve been told to wean but it is excruciating and eating me up. Can you please, PLEASE tell me ANYTHING about your experience of nursing between chemo rounds.
I’m so afraid to hope, but…is this really possible???

It does not get any better than that! Great pic.
I just better not show my daughter. Big fan of nursing and of all things Mickey and Minnie. She’ll be coveting that experience big time.
